Education
The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary runs educational programs promoting awareness and encouraging appreciation of our native wildlife, environmental and conservation issues.
With the support of the Wet Tropics Management Authority and the employment of qualified education staff we are able to cater for the educational requirements of school groups of all ages and nationalities, with content and activities closely linked to curriculum outcomes that support and enhance classroom learning. Programs to suit specialized needs can be arranged upon request.
As part of the Wet Tropics Wildlife School program, students receive education worksheets which can be completed during their visit at The Rainforest Habitat and are presented with an award certificate for completing the program.
Other options for student groups include educational guided tours and animal presentations. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea facilities are available. Bird & animal spotters’ guides are also available.
